Do you know someone who is not traveling on a plane or in a car without wearing a St. Christopher medal dream? This person may or may not Catholic. No other Catholic saint has such a following among the non-Catholics, like Saint Christopher, patron saint of travelers.

Those who are dedicated to St. Kitts is decreasing sense of danger and vulnerability they feel when they have to go from one place to another by plane, car, bike or boat. In France, for example, a favorite expression is “Look at St Christopher and continue to reassure him.”

Many soldiers, especially those who travel far from their homeland to serve in dangerous situations, wearing a St. Christopher medal card or wear a prayer to his image. St. Christopher medals are created for each branch of the military are readily available and popular again among Catholics and non Catholics.

Like this man, who lived in the Roman Empire, was the patron of travelers, anyway? Her story begins long ago in the third century. Giant of a man, will have more than seven feet, was so misleading in its early years, but believe that is the devil. Fortunately for him (and us) was converted to the true faith. Christian wants to convert the new, find a way to serve God. Holy hermit said that he could serve God through prayer and fasting, or claimed on his skills with other people, including the use of its huge size and powerful force to help people across the river dangerous to many lives. Christopher chose this difficult task.

One person was transported with a small child be a boy. But when the boy sits on the shoulders of a strong man who was there, it has become so incredibly complex that could be huge almost worn out. Dazed and confused, the child Christopher asked why it was so hard, and I was told that the Child Jesus, who bore the burden of the sins of the world on his narrow shoulders. Jesus as the good giant strength he had needed over the wild river. And God has blessed us with the patron saint of travelers, each of us on our roads.
