The best holidays this year may include the travel to beautiful islands where you can enjoy the time and move freely from one place to another on the beaches. Caribbean islands have been the tourist destinations for many years and the demand for quality tours is catching up again this year. It is expected that this year Caribbean region is going to be busy with tourism related activities. You may not get place to stay there if you do not book the accommodation much in advance. Caribbean region has Turks and Caicos Islands which are considered extremely beautiful.

The sea is blue there and you get the long sand beaches which are privately held by several commercial groups. The villas in Turks and Caicos are limited in number but have enough space to cater to the demands of all. The dates of your travel can be blocked and once you have the vacation time decided, just get in touch with your travel operator or get online to search for the flights and hotels in these islands. You may choose the moderately priced luxury villas in Turks and Caicos. You may arrange rest everything easily once you have the place to stay booked. Some cheaper deals may be available but you have to search for them.

For the last few years we have been finding our holidays to be increasingly expensive. It used to be that you could go to Spain, or one of the Greek islands, and spend almost nothing having a relaxing week with all the luxuries you could think of. Not anymore. Now that the Euro is in full swing across just about all of Europe, it has become very expensive. You get the impression that the countries have taken advantage of the change in currency to hike their prices up, and now all of these resorts are no cheaper than being back home! We were all sick of this situation and we decided that this year, if we could afford it, we would go somewhere that wasn’t subject to the Euro.

I started to have a little look around online, and I noticed that Turkey was still operating with their original currency. I had heard before that it was a very cheap place to go, and the photo’s I saw of the beaches there looked absolutely stunning. I searched for a holiday in Turkey and I was amazed at the prices! It was no more expensive than the cost of accommodation in Greece, which is very cheap, and all of the guide books suggested that I would be able to have a very extravagant week in Turkey for half of what it would cost in the UK. That was more like it! I booked our holiday immediately, happy in the knowledge that finally we could have the sort of holiday that we wanted.

Istanbul’s location on the coast of Turkey, surrounded by almost 360 degrees of warm Mediterranean waters, makes it a prime destination for those who enjoy fresh fish. The Mediterranean is a sea high in minerals that help lead to a diverse range of sea life, resulting in the waters off the coast of Istanbul rich in fish species, many of which taste exceptionally good plated up in a restaurant of your choice. Turkey holidays will encourage you to step outside your comfort zone and sample the different cultures, activities and food the country has to offer and Istanbul will do just that when it comes to fresh fish.

Fish of this quality, when caught and cooked so freshly, usually doesn’t need much extra effort to create a delicious meal and as such, many fish dishes you will find in the restaurants of Istanbul are presented in a fairly simple manner. A large amount of Turkish fish is simply grilled or pan-fried and will usually be accompanied by a selection of vegetables. For those who want a more complex flavour sensation, fish are also often cooked with tasty sauces. One local delicacy is bugulama, where fish are poached and covered in a pan containing parsley and lemon; a very tasty, light and healthy method of cooking that I would highly recommend. You will also often see varieties of stuffed fish, fish soups, fish balls and fish kebabs. Some of the fish you are likely to spot on the menus include; sea bass, sea bream, red mullet, whiting, sardines, squid and turbot, among others. Again due to the freshness, you can be sure you will be in for a treat whatever you decide to order.

Another bonus of Istanbul’s location along the coastline is that many fish restaurants are situated along the shore looking out over the sea (both on the South and North sides of the city). This provides stunning views and is particularly lovely at dinner time when the sun begins to set. Never mind the many Turkish baths that so many people flock to for a spot of pampering, with a setting like this you will feel more relaxed than ever before. Combined with a nice large glass of ice cold wine or a good strong cocktail, and a plate of melt-in-the-mouth fresh fish, this experience is simply one to die for and is certainly something anyone visiting Istanbul should experience.

As Boxing Day is Easter Monday a holiday, the proceeds immediately to other holiday. This is the time for visiting friends and relatives, and it is a rest period of activity carried out on Easter Sunday.
