Manila, Philippines is one of 17 towns and cities comprise Metro Manila and the country’s capital. This is the place for most Filipinos to realize their dreams. There are many employment opportunities in the city is the economic capital of the country with a modern metropolis that offers a wide opportunity ventures.

Like all other provinces and cities, Manila is also the holder of the history of their own infrastructure and with many historical monuments that contain their own stories. In terms of population, Manila is the fifth largest city and has the eleventh largest metropolitan area.

A little history

The city has to share their own stories to highlight the story. It is as if the Kingdom and Kingdom of Tondo Namayan known because it is the capital of the ancient Tondo. It is also known as Gintu or the land of gold known. Invasion of different nations, the city still has traces of the former residents. Cabilido Street in Intramuros is a monument to the Spanish occupation 1581-1898. Columbia has also invaded Manila in 1898-1946, the American occupation, the city got more distinct materials. American has been a refuge for Filipinos to be free from the Spaniards. Manila Bay is a place in Manila, Philippines, reminiscent of the war that began between these two forces.

While some islands in the Caribbean for its rough atmosphere, Saint Kitts and its people are known to be satisfied with quiet, peaceful and pious. Although the island is certainly not without a lot of fun, seems to be the spiritual nature of the inhabitants of St. Kitts’ to provide a calming influence on all visitors. Like many other destinations known to appear for a peaceful and calm life for the inhabitants of St. Kitts revolve around the church and its rich history. As the population of St. Kitts is low compared to other popular Caribbean islands, the island has only two main churches. However, these churches – a Roman Catholic cathedral and an Anglican church – are two of the main buildings on the island and should be part of any visit to the city of Basseterre.

One of the most impressive buildings in St. Kitts is the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, a Catholic church, which dates back to the 1920s. Although the cathedral is not yet 100 years old, a number of churches from the colonial period of the earth since the beginning of the 18th century today. The original Catholic cathedral was built on a picturesque plot in 1706. Originally built as the cathedral of Notre-Dame, the French-built structure was known until four years later destroyed by British troops. With St. Kitts under British control in 1710, the church was rebuilt as a primary Anglican church on the island. For the next century, Catholics were persecuted by the British and allowed to worship in public. Consequently, the Catholic population was forced to St. Kitts, in practice their religion in private, without a church home.

After a century of persecution, St. Kitts-Catholics “again allowed to practice their faith in the 1829th A few years later, a large group of Portuguese immigrants arrived on the island, further increasing the diversity and island the Catholic population of St. Kitts’. With the support of immigrants strictly religious buildings of the Catholic population of St. Kitts’, a new church in 1856. Well, as is known, the Church of the Immaculate Conception, the building has served the Catholic community, the island until 1927, when today is larger, more ornate structure was built.
